How we do it

Our four-stage process for every curtain wall spraying project.

Survey and Access Planning

We inspect frame condition and the building at height, confirm colour specification, and plan the access and programme.

Surface Preparation

Framing is degreased, abraded and primed. Oxidation and any coating failures are treated before overcoating.

Glazing Protection and Masking

All glazing and surrounding building fabric are comprehensively masked before any spray application begins.

Topcoat Application and Inspection

Coating is applied to the full frame system. Coverage, colour accuracy and finish are inspected before masking is removed.

Frequently asked questions

Common questions about our curtain wall spraying service.

Can you re-coat anodised aluminium curtain walling?

Yes. Anodised surfaces are etched and primed with a specialist adhesion system to ensure the overcoat bonds correctly.

How do you access higher floors?

We use MEWP (cherry pickers), scaffold, suspended access platforms and rope access depending on building type and access availability. All operatives hold IPAF and PASMA certifications.

Can we change the frame colour?

Yes. Curtain wall recoating is widely used for building rebranding and refurbishment. We colour-match to any RAL or BS specification.

Will the glazing be protected?

Yes. All glazing, sills and building fabric adjacent to work areas are fully masked before application. Any masking residue is removed before handover.

How long does a curtain wall project take?

Programme duration depends on building size, number of elevations and access complexity. Typical office buildings are completed within three to eight weeks. A detailed programme is provided at tender.
