How we do it

Our four-stage process for every staircase spraying project.

Survey and Scope Definition

We assess the condition of existing coatings, identify any repairs needed, and confirm the coating system, colour and sheen level.

Surface Preparation

All metalwork is degreased, abraded, and primed. Rust, corrosion and loose coatings are treated or removed before overcoating.

Masking and Protection

Adjacent walls, floors and surfaces are fully protected. Stairs remain accessible in sections where operationally required.

Topcoat Application and Snag Check

The specified topcoat is applied in uniform passes. All work is inspected and any defects corrected before handover.

Frequently asked questions

Common questions about our staircase spraying service.

Do the stairs have to be closed during works?

We work with building managers to maintain stairwell access where possible, phasing works floor by floor or using alternative access routes.

Can you spray powder-coated metalwork?

Yes. Existing powder coat is prepared with appropriate primers to ensure adhesion, and the new coating closely replicates the original finish.

What finish options are available?

We offer gloss, satin and matt finishes in any RAL or BS colour. We can also match from physical samples.

Can you treat rust before painting?

Yes. Corrosion treatment is included as part of the preparation process. We identify and document any structural concerns at survey stage.

Do you provide RAMS for interior work?

Yes. Full method statements, risk assessments and COSHH sheets are provided for all interior projects as standard.
