Project summary
As part of a city centre public realm and mixed-use development in Manchester, Vanda Coatings were commissioned to apply a finish coat to the external steel balustrades and railings installed across the terrace and step areas. The metalwork required an even, durable coating in a dark anthracite specification to complement the stone and glazed elements of the development.
Electrostatic spraying was selected for its ability to deliver a uniform finish around complex spindle profiles and post sections without overspray onto the surrounding stonework and glazing. All surrounding surfaces were masked and protected before application.

- Electrostatic spray application for efficient coverage of spindle profiles
