Project summary

Waitrose's facilities management team instructed Vanda Coatings to carry out a programmed recoat of the shop front at this Edinburgh branch. The aluminium frames, entrance canopy and fascia panels had weathered and required a full preparation, prime and topcoat cycle to restore appearance and protect the substrate.

  • All external aluminium frames cleaned, degreased and abraded
  • Entrance canopy, fascia and signage surrounds included in scope
  • Adhesion-promoting primer applied across all surfaces
  • Two-pack acrylic topcoat in Waitrose specification colour
  • Store remained fully open to customers throughout
  • Works phased to maintain clear pedestrian access at all times
