Project summary

Vanda Coatings was engaged by the University of Nottingham's estates team to carry out on-site recoating works across the campus. The scope covered architectural metalwork and building surfaces requiring a full preparation and recoat cycle to restore appearance and extend the life of the substrate.

What the university got from the project

The estates team needed campus metalwork looking sharp without shutting anything down.

Consistent finish across campus

Architectural metalwork on every building in scope now looks the same. No mismatched panels or faded sections.

Teaching and research carried on

Students, staff and visitors used the campus normally throughout. We worked around the university timetable, not the other way round.

Metalwork sealed for years ahead

Adhesion primer plus two-pack acrylic topcoat locks out moisture and UV, so these frames will hold their colour well beyond the next maintenance cycle.

Each zone handed back clean

We completed one area at a time, removed all masking and sheeting, then moved on. No building left in a half-finished state.
