Project summary

The facilities team at BBC Newcastle engaged Vanda Coatings to restore the entrance facade and metalwork at their city centre premises. The aluminium frames, door surrounds and entrance features had deteriorated and required a full recoat to bring the appearance up to the standard expected of a prominent public-facing building.

Broadcasting never stopped

The BBC ran its normal schedule throughout. We worked around their access requirements and kept noise and disruption away from live areas.

This building faces a busy Newcastle street. The finish had to be flawless up close, and it is.

Aluminium sealed against the elements

Adhesion primer plus two-pack acrylic topcoat keeps moisture and pollution off the substrate for years to come.
